INTRODUCTION TO LESSON #1
By the end of this lesson you and your family should be able to easily and regularly say thank you to each other in Spanish without needing to look at any cheat sheets. This is a wonderful skill that can be easily transferred to restaurant or travel situations.

This is a video presentation of the vocabulary words for everyone. You'll hear them, see them, say them, and pay attention to how they are spelled. Your task when you finish? To use the phrases at least five times before your next learning session!
This is another multimedia presentation of the second part of the vocabulary words. Again, you'll hear, see, say, start to memorize, and pay attention to spelling. Your task of using the words between learning sessions continues.
Where are you at? Which words do you know / not know yet? How quickly can you use the words and phrases? Today you'll do some self-testing so that you know which words and phrases to spend extra time with during the rest of the week.
When it comes to practice activities, my goal is to supply you with more practice than you need for two reasons. First, it's all about the end goal: using the phrases in the real world without stress, without fuss, and without having to think. Second, everyone learns differently.
It's the end of the week. Are you using Spanish phrases to say thank you on a daily basis? This is also a time to give honest recognition to what you and your family have accomplished and starting to use Spanish regularly is a big accomplishment! Be proud!
This lesson is just the beginning...coming up soon are phrases for gratitude journals, thank you notes, and, as you start to plan out your Thanksgiving dinner, phrases related to food! Yummy!

A NOTE REGARDING COMMUNICATION: For other lessons we'll mostly be interacting via the class Facebook page (which I'll add you to when you officially sign up). Just because you aren't officially in the class right now doesn't mean that you can't communicate with me! Questions and stories about how it's going are welcomed on the Trembula Facebook page or just through our normal contact page.
PRINTABLE LEARNING AIDS AND SUPPLEMENTAL ACTIVITIES
I've got these all grouped together here so that you can just print them off all at once rather than constantly running back to the printer. You may decide you don't want to use them all--as long as you are achieving your goal (being able to communicate easily in Spanish without looking at anything), feel free to use your judgement. Every family and learner is different. To help you out, I'll include a note whenever a particular learning aid / supplemental activity fits well with a particular learning session.
